Absolutely, positively THE footballing manager sim for the coming 06/07 season. Without even playing this installment of Football Manager, it would be a safe bet to say that this is going to be one heck of a game. FM06 was simply fantastic and I look forward to the so called improvements (like it needed alot doing to it anyway) awaiting its players.
Get ready for more tired eyes, bad moods and incredible highs as you live out your footballing dreams, trying to stay awake after serveral days straight of managing your chosen team. This, my friends, is going to be good! Roll on 27/10/06.

So why only 3 stars? Well, for me the important thing is having a better difficulty balance than the last game. Of course having shiny new features such as feeder clubs will improve the game no end, but to put that real spark back into the series I think the game should be a little more forgiving in terms of difficulty - and in particular, the tactics. In FM 2006 you could have 11 of the world's best players out on the pitch with a sensible set of tactical instructions only to flop miserably because your tactics don't fit the "keyhole" combination that will let you have some success. I know some people want a tough challenge, but those people have thousands of weaker teams to choose from. If I choose to play as Chelsea or Barcelona I expect to win things without breaking into a sweat. Anyway, along with the feeder clubs, one other feature I like the look of is the option to make a player learn from a more experienced member of the squad. So you could tell Theo Walcott to learn from watching Henry for example (that isn't listed as a feature, but I saw a screenshot on the Sports Interactive website). Also, the scouting is hopefully going to be useful for once! I'm looking forward to seeing if the addictive nature of the game will finally return.

I can say without doubt this is miles above champ. manager and even better then ps2 titles such as lma etc. FM 2006 was great and didnt really need much improvement but with the revamp 2007 has got it can only be so much better then the first.Only question is does anyone know if the put the italian match fixing scandal in. Like Juve will the be banned and have deducted points etc

After the split between various companies with some branching off into Championship Manager and others to this title last year i decided to buy both 2006 versions. Football Manager outbests C.M by far.

From its simplistic yet stylish controls and unique features it always beats C.M hands down. This title looks set to be even better.

From the screen shots i have seen certain features have been vastly improved on when quite honestly they didn't need to be, this can only enhance the gameplay on offer.

Basically what i am trying to say is....don't buy Championship Manager...Buy Football Manager!!! I assure you, you will not regret it.

Once the "champ man" series, SEGA's football manager remains the leader in its field. Having viewed screen shots of the 2007 game, the new interaction levels gives the latest version just enough to be new and exciting without changing its winning formular. the greater in depth player interactions along with pre match team talk (at last!) looks to deliver on all counts. All that we can hope for is that the 2007 game isnt rushed and so there arnt as many bugs that plauged the 2006 game. saying that getting an official patch for it off the internet is free and easy. With the football manager series reputation, you know youll get quality. Say hello to long sleepness nights and good bye to the girlfriend! this version looks the best yet.
