After playing the demo and full version of this I can only conclude that the Halo 3 Beta is the only reason why this game will sell. It is just anotehr bad GTA clone. The graphics are appauling and whatever that is they tried really did not work. The gameplay has about as much attraction as a bucket of dead fish.

As far as I can see the only reason why this game may sell well is due to the Halo3 Beta which has to be included with it so that it sells. There is just no room for more of this type of game what with Saints Row and Just Cause and Novembers release of GTA 4.

I Tink you should make a second Crackdown i like on the demo that you get quite a long time and you can jump really high its just amazing thank you!!!!!

I heard about this game about 4 months ago & 1st thought were oh no not another GTA clone, but as soon as the demo became available on Xbox live I downloaded it just too see what it was like.
And my god was I wrong, its bloody fantastic, I've played the demo for hours & hours & hours. (I DON'T THINK I'VE EVER PLAYED AN XBOX 360 DEMO AS MUCH AS THIS GAME BEFORE)
Buy this game.... If only for the shear size & scale of the playing area, It looks like you can kill the gang lords in any order & go virtually anywhere you like, even on top the highest building just makes it even more free roaming.
If you haven't downloaded the demo yet, do so now. (YOU WONT REGRET IT)

Just like everyone else, i have only played the demo from the Marketplace but oh my god what a game. I have played it constantly, secretly wishing there was some way of removing the time limit so i can fully explore. The joy of just jumping from rooftop to rooftop without having a care in the world is sublime.
Cynics said that Microsoft is bundling the Halo 3 beta to up sales of Crackdown. The game doesn't need any help to shift copies as speaking for myself I could see people losing hours playing this game.

For everyone out there, I just have 3 words: BUY THIS GAME!!!!!!!

I have been playing the extensive demo version of "Crackdown" for hours and hours. There's is only one way to describe the fascination of this game: Truly innovative gameplay! This is the first "sandbox"-game in which the given freedom knows no restrictions: In "Crackdown" there are no boundries where the player can go. Every place you can see in the game you can actually reach. And that's the area of gameplay where "Crackdown" really stands out.

"Crackdown" is indeed what the flawed "Just Cause" could have been on paper. The game maybe not perfect but from what the demo shows off it is quite an evolution to the crowded genre.

"Crackdown" is destined to be a real show stealer.
