Where to begin, well, i will start with plasmids, over 70 you say? Well, that's alot of variation, customizable weapons?
Basically, what you do in the game shapes you, you have mature choices to make, do you look out for number one and do terrible things to survive? Or do you attempt to be the crumbling town of Raptures saviour.
I could get into the absolutley AMAZING storyline, but it's already been posted, to cut it short, a visionary called Andrew Ryan was sick of everything in normal life, so he decided to make an underwater city, called Rapture, where scientists weren't bound by morality, they came up with "Upgrades" basically anything can be upgraded, but then the citizens got greedy, and all hell breaks loose with people taking things too far and mutating themselves. These take the form of "Splicers" they're a enemy in game for you to kill, in so many ways as well!
You can set up traps, trip wires, mines, or even teleport behind them, zap them then set about them with your wrench, or maybe your grenade launcher? Tommy gun? The choice is yours, but with ammo scarce, you'd better get used to using that wrench of yours!
Sound, it's amazing, it's set in the 50's/60's and the music compliments it, stand still and you'l hear random noises, which will creep you out, but it's a masterpiece.
The graphics are amazing, not much could have been done to improve them at this point of gaming, it's simply awe inspiring.
2K Games have not included a Multiplayer mode, which to me is a good thing, it means they have been able to create a truely AMAZING FPS. And it has replay value, just wait till you play it and complete it to see what i'm talking about ;)
Sorry about the length, i'l finish this off.
There is nothing better we, as consumers can do then to show our support for game companies then to purchase their games, obviously to play it and to help fund their next project, personally i'm so damn glad i purchased this game, it could very well get game of the year, with 10/10 from OXM (Official Xbox Magazine - The second game in existance to get this score (Second being Oblivion) ) And an average press rating of 9.7, it's sure to be an absolute hit, no questions asked, i highly advice you to get this game, and if you get stuck, send me a message on Xbox Live, and i'l try my best to help you ;) My gamertag is "Dan Mullaney" Thanks for reading! And enjoy your Happy BioShock day all release buyers! :) |
